Just got back from Fiber Revival 2008 in Newbury, MA. If Fiber was ever dead, I didn't get the memo, so the name confuses me. But the day was near fantastical, despite the thunder storms that rolled in around 3:30, cutting the day short.
Met some ManchVegas Knitting buds at the Spencer Peirce Little Farm, where there were vendors and a turkey and alpacas and horses and squirrels that looked like bunnies from behind and kitties and goats.
My favorite fiber wench had a booth there, so I loaded up on Sereknity.
I tried my first drop spindle with some Monkey Farts BFL (which I picked up at Spa back in February - I never want to rush into anything) from Spunky. Let's just say that this yet another one of those things I do not excel at!! But this is going to be a test of wills - me vs. the spindle. And I am going to win.
Since we had to scoot to avoid the thunder and lightning, some of us headed over to Michael's Harborside for drinkies and num nums. Good mussels, awesome cosmo.
